In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary. And coming to her, he said, "Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you." But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus."
Luke 1:26-38
Mary received the greatest news ever given to a human being: she would be the Mother of God. In her humility and faith, she accepted God's will with the words, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word." Let us ask Mary to help us accept God's will in our lives with the same faith and obedience.
The Rosary is one of the most powerful prayers in the Catholic tradition. Through the repetition of the Hail Mary and meditation on the mysteries of Christ's life, we enter into deeper communion with Jesus and Mary. The Rosary brings peace to troubled hearts, strength to the weary, and hope to the despairing.
As Our Lady promised at Fatima, those who pray the Rosary faithfully will receive special graces and protection. May this guide help you discover the transformative power of this sacred prayer in your spiritual journey.
